Licensure and Practice Disclaimer
At Loud Thoughts Therapy, we are committed to providing high-quality mental health services delivered by licensed and qualified professionals. This disclaimer outlines important information regarding our licensure, practice locations, and the scope of services provided.
1. Licensure and Professional Qualifications
All therapists contracted through Loud Thoughts Therapy are licensed mental health professionals who hold valid and current licenses in the states where they practice.
Licensure credentials may include, but are not limited to, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Psychologist (LP).
Each therapist’s specific licensure and qualifications are available upon request. You can verify licensure through the relevant state licensing boards.
2. Multistate Practice
Loud Thoughts Therapy is based in Minnesota and currently contracts with licensed therapists in various states. Each therapist provides services only within the states in which they are licensed to practice.
Due to interstate practice regulations, telehealth services are offered only to clients physically located in states where the therapist holds an active license.
If you move or travel to another state, please inform your therapist, as this may affect our ability to continue providing services.
3. Scope of Practice
Our services include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and mental health counseling delivered via in-person sessions and telehealth platforms.
The content on this website, including blog posts, articles, and other resources, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Engaging with our website content or social media pages does not establish a therapeutic relationship between you and Loud Thoughts Therapy or any of our contracted providers.
4. Limitations of Telehealth Services
Telehealth services are subject to state-specific regulations. Therapists providing telehealth services through Loud Thoughts Therapy adhere to state laws and guidelines governing telemedicine practices.
You may need to attend in-person sessions if your therapist determines that telehealth is not clinically appropriate or if your physical location is outside the state where your therapist is licensed.
5. Emergency and Crisis Situations
Loud Thoughts Therapy does not provide emergency mental health services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
If you need immediate assistance outside of a scheduled session, contact national crisis services such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
6. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While our therapists are highly trained and dedicated to client care, individual outcomes may vary. Success in therapy depends on a variety of factors, including client participation, therapeutic approach, and individual circumstances.
7. Legal and Ethical Standards
Loud Thoughts Therapy and its contracted therapists follow professional ethical standards and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
Therapists maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality as mandated by their licensure and the ethical guidelines of their respective boards.
